Plausible User Management
Plausible grants access per site and supports granular roles for collaborators. Use this hub to coordinate how the collaborator is invited, updated, and removed.
Access Requests at a Glance
- Add User Access covers inviting the service account and picking the right role.
- Update Access & Roles explains how to adjust site sharing, roles, and metrics permissions.
- Remove User Access documents the deprovisioning workflow.
Roles to Maintain
- Administrator: Full control over a Plausible site. Share when the collaborator manages configuration or integrations.
- Viewer: Read-only analytics. Use for reporting-only engagements.
- Billing Owner: Typically remains with the client finance team; the collaborator rarely needs this role.
Governance Checklist
- Track which Plausible sites the collaborator can access and confirm quarterly.
- Export the Team list after changes and store it with IAM documentation.
- If Plausible is self-hosted, ensure SSH/database credentials remain separate from analytics logins.
- Record any shared API keys or automation tokens connected to the collaborator’s account.
