Remove the collaborator from Heap Analytics

Use this procedure when the collaborator should be removed from Heap.

Removal Steps

1. Navigate to Account → Manage → Members and locate the collaborator’s account.
2. Select Remove Member to delete the user entirely, or change the organization role to No Access and unassign all projects if you need to keep the record.
3. If SCIM/SSO is enabled, remove the user from the corresponding IdP group to prevent reprovisioning.
4. Save the change and confirm the account disappears from the member list.

Recordkeeping

• Export the membership list or access log entry showing the removal.
• Update your IAM tracker with the removal date, requestor, and approval reference.
• Notify the collaborator’s contact to confirm the account has been deactivated.

Clean-Up Tasks

• Transfer ownership of dashboards, reports, or tracking plans created by the collaborator’s account.
• Rotate API tokens, webhooks, or ingestion keys that used the account credentials.
• Remove the account from any notification integrations (Slack, email digests) tied to Heap.
