Remove the collaborator from Chartbeat
Complete these steps when the collaborator should no longer log into Chartbeat.
Removal Steps
- Open Settings → Users and locate the collaborator’s account.
- Click Remove User or, if you prefer to retain the record, change the role to No Access and uncheck all site permissions.
- If SSO is enforced, remove the account from the corresponding IdP group to prevent automatic reprovisioning.
- Save the change and confirm the user no longer appears under Active Users.
Evidence to Capture
- Export the user list as CSV or take a screenshot showing the removal.
- Note the change in your IAM tracker, including the requester, approval, and ticket reference.
- Send confirmation to the collaborator’s engagement lead.
Clean-Up
- Transfer ownership of dashboards or alerts the collaborator’s account managed to a client admin.
- Rotate any API keys or passwords stored with the account.
- If the account received email alerts, update distribution lists to avoid bounce backs.
