Remove the collaborator from Amplitude
Use this procedure when the collaborator should no longer access your Amplitude environment.
Deprovisioning Steps
- Go to Settings → Members & Groups and open the collaborator’s account.
- Remove the user from all projects or set the project role to None for each project listed.
- Change the organization role to No Access or delete the user if immediate removal is required.
- If SSO provisions the account, remove it from the IdP group so it cannot reappear.
- Save the changes and confirm the account disappears from the Members list or shows No Projects.
Capture Evidence
- Download or screenshot the member detail showing the removal.
- Export the audit entry from Access Logs indicating the action and store it with your IAM records.
- Send confirmation to the collaborator’s contact so both sides know the offboarding is complete.
Clean-Up Checklist
- Transfer ownership of dashboards, notebooks, or metrics owned by the collaborator’s account to a client administrator.
- Remove the account from any shared Slack or notification integrations connected to Amplitude.
- Rotate ingestion or export keys if the collaborator’s account managed pipeline credentials.
