Remove User Access

Follow this process when an employee leaves a project or no longer requires X Ads access.

Deactivation Triggers

  • The user has left the company or agency.
  • A contract or project engagement has concluded.
  • Security teams reported suspicious activity tied to the account.

Removal Steps

  1. Verify the request with the account owner or project lead.
  2. Revoke access for all advertisers, campaigns, or seats assigned to the user.
  3. If the platform supports it, disable API keys or tokens linked to the user.
  4. Save confirmation screenshots or audit logs for compliance records.

After Removal

  • Update internal rosters and ticketing systems to reflect the change.
  • Transfer any owned assets to an active administrator before deletion.
  • Note the removal in the next access review meeting.
